Priority Ambulance of East Tennessee to Host Paid EMT Academy to Increase EMS Personnel and Support for Cocke County EMS System

 COCKE, TN (Mar. 9, 2023)—Priority Ambulance of East Tennessee opened student enrollment today for a paid EMT-Basic certification course for anyone interested in entering the pre-hospital healthcare field and working as an EMT with Priority. 

The course is a collaborative effort between Priority Ambulance of East Tennessee and Roane State Community College’s continuing education program to promote careers in EMS and to reinforce the provision of high-quality EMS services in the county.

Upon graduation and passing the EMT-Basic certification exam, students will work aboard Priority Ambulance of East Tennessee units to provide essential patient care to the residents of Cocke County. 

Classes begin Monday, April 10th and will continue for approximately 10 weeks. Students will be paid an hourly training wage of $12.00 and will receive comprehensive healthcare and other benefits with a two-year employment commitment. The application deadline is March 31st.
