- Respond to all calls for service dispatched from the communications center as directed.
- Maintains valid driver’s license, complying with all state and local laws, while safely escorting EMT and Patients according to SOP and protocols as approved by the medical director.
- Ensures ambulance and all equipment is cleaned and checked daily. Any deficiencies should be reported immediately to the shift supervisor.
- Prepares and completes appropriate reports including exposure reports, incident reports, daily, weekly, and monthly unit check offs.
- Ensures unit and crew members adhere to company policies, procedures, guidelines, directives, and standards. Reports any deficiencies to the shift supervisor.
- Ensures vehicle complies with required laws, rules license, and regulations as outlined by the State of Tennessee and other authorized agencies.
- Prompt and regular attendance at work and mandatory meetings.
- Maintain a state of readiness and professionalism while on-duty.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while in company uniform either on or off duty.
- Self-motivated and requires little supervision and direction.
- Performs other such duties as may be required.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement)
- Basic Life Support Certification (provided during training)
- Current State Driver’s License.
- FREE tuition & certification fees (National Registry, Tennessee)
- Hourly wage for classroom/ride-along time + benefits package with a two-year commitment.
- Upon passing exam, EMTs are ready to work on an ambulance making up to $30,000 a year with room to grow up to $45,000 with additional shift-friendly, sponsored paramedic certification.
- EMT Academy with a two-year employment commitment.

- Must become certified as an Emergency Medical Technician within one year of hire.
- Currently licensed with the appropriate level of state motor vehicle operator’s license.
- Currently has a clean driving record as approved by company vehicle liability insurer.
- Most successfully complete a CEVO ambulance driver safety classroom and practical course.
- Must have the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, using good judgment.
- Must have the ability to work efficiently and interact in a constructive and professional manner with other employees, public safety personnel and medical staff.
- Must have the ability to interact effectively and professionally with passengers, customers, clients, family members, bystanders, and the general public in such a manner as to reflect positively on the company.
- Must demonstrate a level of skill and ability consistent with the provision of high quality passenger care.
- The ability to pass a DOT physical.
- The ability to reach, push and pull.
- The ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- The ability to walk up and down stairs without difficulty.
- The ability to bend, stoop, squat and kneel for long periods of time.
- The ability to walk a distance of one quarter of a mile without difficulty.
- The ability to complete all job duties during any and all hours of the day and night.
- The ability to lift and maneuver 150 pounds without difficulty.
- The ability to lift and maneuver 150 pounds up and down two flights of stairs without difficulty.
- Field Supervisor or Operations Manager as appropriate for all operational activities.

The Priority Ambulance family is seeking paramedics to serve in the Loudon County 9-1-1 EMS system. Flexible full- and part-time schedules are available.

Job Summary
The EMT-P functions as Paramedic on 911 response ambulance operating in Loudon County, Tennessee. Safely operates vehicle to/from pick up and drop off locations. Provides ALS patient care and movement. Documents all transports completely per company SOP. Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
