Position:  IT Support Services Engineer
Location:  Phoenix, AZ
 
Definition:
  • Provides IT support to operation’s as directed.
  • Spec’s, sets up and/or installs or coordinates with vendors to install IT hardware to include: PC’s, laptops, tablet devices, printers, modems and cell phones.

Position: EMT Trainee Course

The Priority Ambulance Training Academy is proud to present a paid training opportunity through accelerated 8-week EMT class beginning July 18. No previous EMS or health care experience required! Priority Ambulance will pay for all course tuition, materials, testing and certification fees, as well as provide a classroom wage as a full-time employee with full benefits package from day one of the program!
 
Priority is seeking driven, dedicated candidates interested in taking the first step to join the emergency medical services industry. Your EMT certification is the first step in a career in EMS or can be a steppingstone to careers in public safety and health care.
 
To remove all financial barriers to your healthcare career, tuition, course materials and testing fees are paid for Priority Ambulance, and students will become a full-time employee receiving an initial classroom hourly wage and full benefits to remove financial burdens of starting your career in EMS! Our EMT Course is held in conjunction with Roane State Community College and follows the National Standard Curriculum as defined by the NREMT. 
 
How much does it cost?
  • FREE tuition & certification fees (National Registry, Tennessee) 
  • Hourly wage for classroom/ride-along time  + benefits package with a two-year commitment.
  • Upon passing exam, EMTs are ready to work on an ambulance making up to $30,000 a year with room to grow up to $45,000 with additional shift-friendly, sponsored paramedic certification.
  • EMT Academy with a two-year employment commitment. 
*Acceptance into the class is subject to background check and motor vehicle records screen.
 
Course Description:
Our EMT Course follows the National Standard Curriculum as defined by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (www.nremt.org). Upon successful completion of our program, you will have the necessary skills and knowledge to pass both the cognitive and psychomotor exams required by NREMT. Priority Ambulance will cover costs of National Registry and state EMT certifications. All of your clinical 3rd rides will be completed on our 911-Advanced Life Support and BLS Ambulances. Being able to provide you real-life emergency experience is what sets our programs apart from others. You will be actively engaged and challenged to be a part of “our team”.
 
How do I apply?
Fill out an online application and attend a mandatory open interview/interest session at Priority Ambulance's East Tennessee headquarters (910 Callahan Drive, Suite 101, Knoxville, TN 37912) on Saturday, June 11 at 9 a.m.; Monday, June 13 at 5:30 p.m. OR Wednesday, June 15 at 5:30 p.m. An class overview will be presented to the group will be followed by aptitude testing and individual interviews with Priority Ambulance managers. 
 
When are classes?
Classes begin July 18, 2022; Full-time employment schedule Monday-Friday 9-5 p.m.

Position:  Ambulance Operator

Definition:
 
Provides scheduled and unscheduled medical transportation services and delivers the passenger to the appropriate location.
 
Responds to hospitals, nursing homes and other locations to provide medical transportation services.
 
Provides safe medical team and/or passenger movement from/to wheelchair/stretcher at home, hospitals, nursing homes and other facilities.
 
Provides passenger safety monitoring, enroute to destination and during transportation to, from and/or between facilities.
 
Provides passenger monitoring per state law, adhering to company, local, regional, and state guidelines.
 
Performs other duties as directed.
 
Minimum Requirements:
  • Clean driving record
  • Must possess a high degree of personal integrity and responsibility.
  • Currently licensed, certified or registered by the appropriate state agencies.
  • Currently certified in CPR by the AHA or other appropriate organization.
  • Currently certified in First Aid by the ARC or other appropriate organization.
  • Must become certified as an Emergency Medical Technician within one year of hire.
  • Currently licensed with the appropriate level of state motor vehicle operator’s license.
  • Currently has a clean driving record as approved by company vehicle liability insurer.
  • Most successfully complete a CEVO ambulance driver safety classroom and practical course.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, using good judgment.
  • Must have the ability to work efficiently and interact in a constructive and professional manner with other employees, public safety personnel and medical staff.
  • Must have the ability to interact effectively and professionally with passengers, customers, clients, family members, bystanders, and the general public in such a manner as to reflect positively on the company.
  • Must demonstrate a level of skill and ability consistent with the provision of high quality passenger care.
